Dr Lucia Murnane is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds diplomas in Child Health and Bioethics. She has done additional training in Fertility Awareness Methods (FABMs) of family planning and their associated medical applications in assisting with the diagnosis, and restorative management of women’s health issues such as sub/infertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, thyroid and other hormonal conditions, and does active ongoing professional development in these areas. Dr Murnane is currently undertaking a Masters of Reproductive Medicine through the University of NSW Australia. She participates in courses in nutritional and environmental medicine through the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM), and enjoys integrating this approach into General Practice medicine.

Dr Murnane is a part of Manningham General Practice’s Fertility Assessment Clinic, along with its founder Dr Mary Walsh. The clinic offers medical advice and assistance in preparation for pregnancy, and assessment and management of subfertility utilising Fertility Awareness Methods (FABMs), and can provide appropriate referrals for dietetics, exercise physiology, psychology, andrology, endocrinology and gynaecology, to enable a comprehensive, holistic and restorative approach. The clinic also assists couples who have experienced miscarriage and is able to provide assistance with early pregnancy monitoring, and obstetric shared care.
Dr Murnane’s other medical interests lie in mental health, preventative health, chronic disease management, paediatrics, and geriatrics.
