The MGP Fertility Assessment Clinic offers medical advice and assistance in preparation for pregnancy, and assessment and management of subfertility utilising Fertility Awareness Methods (FABMs)
The clinic offers medical advice and assistance in preparation for pregnancy, and assessment and management of subfertility utilising Fertility Awareness Methods (FABMs), and can provide appropriate referrals for dietetics, exercise physiology, psychology, andrology, endocrinology and gynaecology, to enable a comprehensive, holistic and restorative approach. The clinic also assists couples who have experienced miscarriage and is able to provide assistance with early pregnancy monitoring, and obstetric shared care.
New patients for the Fertility Assessment Clinic or for complex medical conditions require an one hour appointment. For the Fertility Assessment Clinic it is advised that both members of the couple attends for assessment (30 minutes each), and follow up appointments. Follow up appointments are 30-45 minutes depending on complexity.
The consultations are billed in accordance with the clinic’s set private consultation fees.
It is recommended that patients either bring with them or arrange to have sent to the clinic prior to their appointment (via post or fax), records of any past investigations and treatments (eg: blood test results, imaging results, operation reports etc).
If applicable the women/couple will be referred for instruction in one of the FABMs (Billings Ovulation Method®, Sympto-thermal Method or Creighton Model FertilityCare System), to assist with their investigation and management.
Educators in the Billings Ovulation Method® consult at the clinic on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
